Module 1.1 - Teaching Yoga to Tots & Kids / 4 Training Days (20 hours online & 15 hours homework offline) In this portion of the training you will learn to:
understand the physical, emotional, mental, and energetic developmental milestones of children aged 3-12 years.
teach yoga and skills to each stage of development.
understand how to build a successful relationship with school-teachers, therapists and parents.
explain yoga and its benefits to children as well as to other stakeholders in order to bring about a beneficial and joyful association with yoga for all.
teach yoga as a discipline, including breathing and heart openers, yoga asana, meditations,relaxation, yoga games and creative activities.
create age-appropriate lesson plans for children of various age groups.
practice different types of meditative and energizing breathing techniques.
prepare children for yoga asana using warm-ups and breathing techniques.
explore yoga, games, imagination, music, and other sensory props to create fun, dynamic and interesting children’s yoga classes.
understand and use affirmations, meditations, and visualizations in children’s yoga classes.
use Savasana and other ways to bring relaxation to children.

Module 1.2 - Teaching Yoga to Kids & Tweens / 4 Training Days (20 hours online & 10 hours homework offline) In this portion of the training you will learn to:

create an awareness of the senses for children and the life skill applications associated with thesenses
explore Pantajali’s eight limbs of yoga and associated disciplines
explore internal & external environments
teach children about colour and colour therapy
bring an awareness of the chakras (energy centres of the body) and how to teach theseassociated yoga postures to children
explore emotions and values
look at self-regulation and the ability to change emotions and come back to a feeling of joy
teach self-esteem and self-confidence to children

Module 1.3 - Practical Application & Lesson Plans (20 hours online & 15 hours homework offline) In this portion of the training you will learn how to apply what you've learned and develop working lesson plans.
