The Yoga4Teens Training is comprised of Modules 4.1 & 4.2 (which includes theoretical and practical training for a total of 65 hours). The training is accredited Internationally upon completion of both modules. A brief description of each module is given below. Note that this training will only take place in 2021 and we are still developing Module 4.2.
As part of this Yoga4Teens Training you will receive our trademark Yoga4Kids comprehensive training manual.
Module 4.1 - Building Curricula for Teens & Tweens / (20 hours online & 10 hours homework offline) This portion of the training will cover:
Overview of restorative Yoga, Istha/Hatha Yoga, Satyananda Yoga and Kundalini Yoga. Then further exploration on how to make these practices available to this age group.
Understanding the physiological and psychological changes of adolescence.
Anatomy and physiology of the Yoga Asanas for teens (including proper alignment).
Tools of meditation (including an understanding of Mantra, Yoga Nidra, Tratak and Mala).
Science, theory, philosophy and practice of Surya Namaskara.
A more in-depth study of Pranayama.
Swara Yoga and the study of the breath.
Mudras (including the psycho-physiological postures and movements of the hands).
A deeper understanding the Tattwas and the internal and external environment. Then further exploration of how this plays a role in working with teens.
Mindful practices for teens.
Introduction into a self-practice of Ayurveda.
Practical teaching.
Module 4.2 - (20 hours online & 15 hours homework offline) Per the note above, this portion of the training is still being finalised.
