The Yoga4Kids Vocational Training: Yoga4Teens® is comprised of Modules 1 & 2 which include theoretical training as well as practical training under Module 1 for a total of 95 hours. Modules 1 & 2: Theory After completion of this six day course, you will be able to guide and instruct teens on how to:
Manage emotional states and choose positive emotions over negative ones.
Mange stress and energy levels.
Increase their intuition and inner guidance systems.
Develop a sense of self; self-acceptance and self-confidence being key issues.
Develop healthy positive and upbeat attitudes no matter what the circumstances.
Explore the physical, mental, emotional and psychological development of teens.
Prepare lesson plans and curriculums for teens
Explain how to introduce philosophical discourse involving yoga philosophy
How to teach pranayama and asana to teens.
How to introduce mindfulness and meditation to teens.
Discuss the importance of yoga during exams and other related stressors.
Explore the various types of yoga.
Look at restorative yoga and other practices to soothe and calm the nervous system.
Do a workshop on how to write curriculums and lesson plans for teens.
Module 1: Practical Part of your Module 1 learning is based on practical classroom experience and applied theory as facilitated by our Yoga4Kids Instructors or other accredited yoga teachers. This practical experience will be monitored as you attend, observe and teach the teen yoga classes. You may commence your Module 1 practical training at any time upon completion of Module 1 theory.
This practical training includes 10 hours of observation of teen yoga classes in classrooms and studios. You will then be required to present a homework assignment and lesson plan based on your teen curriculum for a year. You will further be asked to document a total of 20 hours of teaching for completion of this 95 hour course.
